Description
Receipt Book.
The first five leaves contain 'Medicines', the remainder consists of Cookery receipts, some by a different, but contemporary hand.
On the verso of the original cover is a cut-down leaf containing the name 'Katherine Perrott' in calligraphic script, within a decorated border, but the first leaf before the beginning of the text is inscribed 'Mary Perrotts Book 1695'.

1 volume 20 ll. 4to. 181/2 × 141/2 cm. Original vellum binding. Rebound in modern blind-stamped calf binding, with coat of arms in gold on the upper cover, and initials 'G.O.F.' Binder's printed label inside the lower cover inscribed: 'Bound by Thomas. 7 Upper Marylebone St. Fitzroy Square'.
