Description
Rough stenograph notebooks containing pencil ms notes made by the registration staff of the Museum, prior to these being typed up onto flimsy inventory cards. The information generally includes 'A' number [registration number], brief description and price paid. Many of the entries are in shorthand. In general the notebooks are annotated with the date on which they were commenced and completed, the sequence of 'A' numbers covered and in some cases the name of the person completing the entries.
Ts rules for the completion of the notebooks are pasted into the front of several of the books including CM/Not/68 and CM/Not/87.
