The following is an interim description which may change when detailed cataloguing takes place in future:
Scrapbooks containing newspaper and journal articles, letters and other documents, photocopies of documents and articles, and photographs (some original, some later prints) relating to the life of Sir Herbert Atkinson Barker, the practice of bone-setting and manipulative surgery and the Barker/Axham case (Frederick William Axham was struck off the Medical Register in 1911 for acting as an anaesthetist to Barker who was an unqualified medical practitioner).
