About this work

Description

All enquiries from the public, however eccentric, were answered by the Campaign and copies are included in these files. Although many files contain peculiar suggestions, they also include early ideas about the risk of pollution and passive smoking and conventional scientific theories. Files are arranged in date order to show how ideas changes over the decades.

Original file titles assigned by the Campaign appear in inverted commas in the Title field.

References formerly assigned by the Campaign are in the Previous Numbers field. (See Arrangement field in the Collection level description 'Note on the Campaign's filing system', for information on files generated by Campaign central headquarters and the old references system).
