About this work

Description

The Richard Thomas & Baldwins project was an action research opportunity to collaborate in the building of the most modern steelworks in Europe. The TIHR worked alongside the company to break existing management constraints and develop a new organisational structure to best match the modern technologies available. The original plan was to hold participative workshops at the RTB Staff College involving all levels of management. However, there were severe delays in the construction of the new site at Newport and the extra expenditure due to this prevented the workshops from going ahead.
