Description

A project undertaken by Eric Miller on behalf of the Tavistock Institute with the Committee of the Diplomatic Service Wives' Association to explore the issues affecting Diplomatic Wives leading to stress related to occupying such a position. The main contribution of the Tavistock Institute in this project was to help to open up discussions about factors affecting Diplomatic Wives and to highlight some of the underlying issues contributing to these. Includes draft and final copies of document 'Some Reflections on the Role of the Diplomatic Service Wife: A Working Note prepared for the Diplomatic Service Wives' Association'; document 2T 333 'The Role of the Wife of the Head of Mission: A Note prepared for the Dipmlomatic Service Wives' Association'; copies of both documents published within the Diplomatic Service Wives' Association magazine and newsletter (1978 and 1981).
