About this work

Description

The Young Volunteer Gorce Foundation was set up in 1969 as an agency for setting up volunteer clearing houses. However, the YVFF began to move more towards conducting neighbourhood work within community groups, particularly those in deprived local areas. The project sought to develop and clarify the role of the central management staff and departments to reflect, support and maintain the changing focus of the foundation towards field work of this nature. Elliot Stern, on behalf of the Tavistock Institute, was approached to contribute an external perspective to the organisational review.
